
I remember Tupac as this larger than life figure. He represented more than just "Thug Life". He was the living embodiment of the young black man's struggles in America. Intelligent, yet hard-headed. Uncontrollable, yet docile. Militant, yet fully indoctrinated into the capitalist system. He constantly reminded us that being anything other than part of this country's growing number of mindless sheep can quickly get you into trouble - whether you deserved it or not. But it seems somewhere along the way since his death over 10 years ago, his true message was lost and only the media carved image remains. Today's young people do not understand fully what Pac really meant by "Thug Life", only that Pac was a thug. The media intentially glosses over his revolutionary side, leaving us only his beef with Biggie and the East Coast vs. West Coast so-called war. This video is to remind you of Tupac's real intentions. We can't forget. We just can't.
