Solid foundation...

For everyone that thinks all Houston hip-hop revolves around woodgrain wheels and purp. For everyone that thinks the South lacks focused lyrical content. For the idiots so quick to write off hip-hop as "dead". This is your STFU moment. Kay is the truth. A project that took 2 years to complete, Kay's The Talk Show stands as a reminder to all of us that your local radio station is full of shit. It's all about balance. For every Slim Thug (whom I listen to quite frequently I might add), there is a Devin The Dude. For every Nitti, there is a The ARE. For every Jeezy, there is a K-Rino. For every D4L, there is a Strange Fruit Project. And for every Hurricane Chris, there is a Kay. Balance. Why can't we have both on radio and tv? Well, I have my theory on that...but we'll save that for another day and time. But for now, lay down your preconceived notions about what hip-hop is supposed to be or what any particular region is bringing to the table, and listen.
